The Greene Finney team is made up of many dedicated and talented individuals. In our Employee Spotlight series, you'll meet some of these people, learn what they do (on and off the clock), and find out how they make our firm unique and fun.
Today, the spotlight is on our BOSS (Back Office Support System) Supervisor, Ashley Hull, who along with having the skills to crunch numbers, possesses a bit of a sweet tooth and has a passion for racing cars. Ashley attended Furman University and finished her degree at the University of South Carolina where she received her degree in mathematics and statistics. Get to know Ashley on a more personal level as she shares some insights on her interests and favorite activities below.
What do you like best about working for Greene Finney?
The people! Everyone is friendly, caring and easy to work with. It is a great environment.
If you could do another job just for one day, what would it be?
I would love to be an attorney for a day to have the chance to research a topic and present all of the facts behind the reason for my opinion of that topic. It would be interesting to see if I could convince an opposing party to change their opinion to match mine.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
Chocolate and, of course, my family:)
What would you most like to tell your 13 year old self?
I would tell her to relax and enjoy her youth.
What are the top three highlights of your life?
I have been married for 25 years to my husband Jeff, who is a golf professional and the current women's golf coach at Furman University.
We have a wonderful son who recently graduated from UGA and is currently in the PhD program at the University of South Carolina.
My mom, brother and his family all live here in Greenville-I feel so blessed to finally live in Greenville where the rest of my family is.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
When I was younger I raced cars in autocrossing. Each autocrossing race is a different course that has been set up for just that day's competition. You walk the course several times to familiarize yourself with how the course is set up with gates and turns, and then one car races at a time against the clock and the shortest time wins.
What is the best book you have ever read?
It's actually a set of books: The Left Behind Series
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I clearly like working with numbers and I think it would be rewarding to be a financial planner and help individuals understand investments and help them plan for the future and reach their financial goals.

Now that you’ve been working remotely for several months, how are you feeling about your shared office apps? If you’re still scrambling to put together a set of tools that meet your virtual needs, here are some applications that will go a long way toward making everyone feel like they’re working together as a team…even when you’re not in the same office.
