Larry Finney is a founding Partner of Greene Finney, LLP. As a Partner, Larry helps to define the firm’s overall vision, mission, strategy, and direction. He serves as the Engagement Partner in the audit practice, and his primary responsibilities at the firm include marketing, business development, and nurturing ongoing client relationships. Larry has extensive expertise in a variety of industry segments, specializing in restaurants, distribution, land trusts, school districts and charter schools, municipalities, special purpose districts, counties, state agencies, utilities, and not-for-profit entities. A trusted and respected member of the accounting community, Larry is a regular presenter at conferences and continuing professional education seminars.
Prior to establishing the firm, Larry spent four years as a CFO in the chemical industry, working for Evode-Tanner, Mercer Industries, and Southern Water Treatment. He also worked on the audit side at Big 4 firm KPMG’s Greenville, South Carolina location, as well as at Coopers & Lybrand in Portland, Oregon. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant. Larry has served on the Board at both the Greenville Arena District and the Mauldin Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers with Synergy Garden, a community garden associated with the Center for Community Services, teaches at the Buck Mickel Center, and is an Elder at Palmetto Hills Presbyterian Church. Larry is married with three children and in his free time enjoys running, biking, hiking, and travel.
